D'Banj receives BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award at the British House of Parliament






 
  Multi-award winning singer D'Banj took to his Twitter handle this afternoon to announce that he just received the BEFFTA Entertainment Icon Award at the British House of Parliament from Lord John Bird. Congrats to him.

Verizon Pixel phones will get updates at the same time as Google's

One of the main advantages of owning a Nexus device is the vanilla Android experience — that is, you don’t have to deal with bloatware, unnecessary skins and you’ll know your device will be supported with timely updates. Google’s new Pixel and Pixel XL should continue that tradition, but with Verizon as the exclusive carrier in the US, there’s been some confusion about what that’ll mean in terms of updates, especially following news that Google has relinquished controlof delivering Android software updates to Pixel phones sold by the carrier. Any Nexus user who purchased a device from Verizon knows that the carrier isn’t known for offering speedy Android upgrades. PlayStation VR works with other consoles The PlayStation VR doesn't just work with the PlayStation 4. As it turns  out, the virtual reality headset can actually accept any valid HDMI input, albeit without the full virtual reality experience. When the PlayStation VR is connected to a regular HDMI output, such as an Xbox One, the headset displays content in a 'cinema mode.' In this mode, a large 2D screen covers most of your field of view, as if a cinema screen was positioned a meter or so from your face. Move your head and the screen stays in place. The fact that the PSVR can accept inputs from any HDMI source gives it a leg up on its headset competitors, the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. Both of these headsets are designed for PC games, and support non-VR content from a PC in a cinematic mode similar to the PSVR, however neither headset works with standard HDMI sources from a console or other device.
